show description
From Emmy nominees Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, Dharma & Greg, Cybill, Grace Under Fire) & Bill Prady (Gilmore Girls, Dharma & Greg) comes THE BIG BANG THEORY, the story of two brainy best friends who could tell you anything you want to know about quantum physics - but when it comes to dealing with everyday life here on Earth, they're lost in the cosmos. Winner of the 2009 Television Critics Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy and the 2010 People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy, THE BIG BANG THEORY stars Johnny Galecki (Roseanne, Hope & Faith, Vanilla Sky), Jim Parsons (Judging Amy, Garden State), Kaley Cuoco (Charmed, 8 Simple Rules...for Dating My Teenage Daughter, Growing Up Brady, Virtuosity), Simon Helberg (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, In the Land of Women, For Your Consideration, MADtv, Joey, Van Wilder) and Kunal Nayyar (on stage: Huck & Holden).
Leonard (Galecki) and Sheldon (Parsons) are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works.
But none of that genius helps them interact with people - especially women. All this changes when a free-spirited beauty named Penny (Cuoco) moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow Caltech scientists Howard Wolowitz (Helberg) and Rajesh Koothrappali (Nayyar). Leonard, however, sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities...including love.
THE BIG BANG THEORY is executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Lee Aronsohn. Produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, the hit comedy series is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
